چکیده
Objective: The aim of this study was to scintigraphically investigate the preoperative and postoperative renal functions patients operated due ureteropelvic junction obstruction, discuss factors affecting indication surgery emphasize important points consider during scintigraphic examination. Method: We retrospectively analyzed pediatric cases who underwent pyeloplasty obstruction. Patients for primary obstruction whose dynamic scintigraphy results could be obtained were included in study. divided into two groups as those with <50% ≥50% ipsilateral differentiated function. difference between considered statistically significant when p<0.05. Results: median ages 36 DRF group 24 7.7 months 8.5 months, respectively. mean function values main significantly different from each other both periods. changes within also analyzed, yielding differences. Ipsilateral on a general, subgroup basis, ultrasound findings kidney subgroups revealed. Conclusion: Increased hydronephrosis degree pelvis anterior-posterior diameter are closely related overestimated For deciding ureteral examinations make sense help US clinical condition patient.

Introduction: Ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) is associated with inadequate urine drainage from renal pelvis into ureter. UPJO results from incomplete recanalization of proximal ureter during fetal period which finally leads to hydrostatic distention of renal pelvis and calyces. Diagnosis is based on clinical symptoms, ultrasound, and diuretic isotopic renogram. Various surgical metho...

Ureteropelvic junction UPJ obstruction is caused by the presence of an aperistaltic dysplastic segment at the UPJ. Besides this intrinsic etiology, extrinsic factors, mainly crossing vessels, maybe the causative factor. The controversy regarding the functional significance of vessels crossing at the UPJ is not a new one, though this debate has been resurrected in recent years because of improve...
متن کاملevaluation of renal histopathological changes, as a predictor of recoverability of renal function following pyeloplasty for ureteropelvic junction obstruction
conclusions the severity of pathological changes in renal parenchyma, due to upjo, is a good predictor of renal function recoverability, after pyeloplasty. the orus, with drf > 35%, usually have normal (grade i) renal biopsy and might be expected to present better functional recoverability after pyeloplasty. results this study showed a linear relationship between the severity of histological ch...
